HOW THE PROCESS WORKS…

Consigning with Guitar Brothers: This will net you the highest return, paid to you upon sale of the instrument.

- Step 1: Bring it in your equipment/collection for assessment in-store.
- Step 2: We value your items, discuss with you a reasonable sell price, and confirm your expected proceeds from the sale.
- Step 3: We can arrange any servicing/setup to get your equipment playing/sounding the best it can for sale (if required). We will discuss any associated costs through the Consignment Agreement process.
- Step 4: Once you sign off on our agreed sale price and your return, we get it up on the wall, photographed & advertised on our website! We will pitch you any offers we receive on your gear.
- Step 5:  We complete the sale of your item - happy days! We initiate the funds transfer within 7 days of the sale of your item (via your choice of secure bank deposit or in-store credit).

Trading with Guitar Brothers: You get to leave with your new gear the same day!

- Step 1: Bring it in your equipment/collection for assessment in-store and let us know what you would like to trade towards.
- Step 2: We value your items, determine our expected sale price and confirm the trade value.
- Step 3: We can arrange any servicing/setup to get your equipment playing/sounding the best it can for sale (if required).
- Step 4: Once you sign off on your trade return price, we‘ll process this amount towards your new gear and you’re on your way!

Sell your gear to Guitar Brothers: Generally, we are looking to pay a wholesale price for items we purchase outright. Please email us with description + photos, or bring your gear in, and we can negotiate a fair price to purchase your items. We aim to be as fair and transparent as possible, so we utilise our own records and experience, various guitar price guides and online sales history to help us determine the best deal we can for both parties.

TERMS & CONDITIONS...

Plus some important things to note before proceeding:

* While we do consign/trade many items, unfortunately we aren’t in a position to trade everything (based on product condition, saleability, store inventory etc). We do have limited space and we’re honest with you about what we can/can’t expect to sell.
* If you are unable to bring your items in-store initially, please send detailed photos (including serial number, if possible) and any known details. We generally can’t provide an expected return price until the item is assessed in person / in-store.
* Any servicing, electrical tag/testing, setup or repair work that is required to make your equipment playable/saleable must be completed before we are able to display/advertise your instrument(s) for sale. We can arrange this work on your behalf through our trusted service agent network, which we will discuss with you during the initial Consignment/Trade agreement process. Any associated fees will be subtracted from your final consignment payout or are to be paid upfront.
* If you are bringing in more than one item or a collection we may ask you to leave your equipment with us while we can arrange a valuation, repair quotes (if required) and your return price. We aim to get you a response back within 24-48 hours, however this can vary - please call/email ahead of time if you wish to drop off several items.
* While your equipment is consigned with us, we ask that no privately advertised listings (MarketPlace, GumTree, Reverb etc) are posted online.
* All consigned items left in our store are fully insured for theft, loss in fire and breakages (to the total of the agreed payout sum).
* In most circumstances we initiate the process to transfer your proceeds of the sale almost immediately upon completion of the sale. We aim to have all fund transfers initiated within 7 days of the completed sale of your item. Your equipment may appear as sold on our website, however it may be in the final stages of sale to the purchaser, or temporarily under 48 hour offer/hold period in-store.

* All items that are consigned, traded or purchased require the owner to provide a VALID PHOTO ID (drivers licence, passport), address, contact phone number & email, for our paper records - this is a requirement of our second-hand dealer licence.

* A “CONSIGNMENT AGREEMENT” is to be completed in-store when staff book in your instrument(s) / items.
