Alder Body with Spalted Maple Top
The Alder body provides a perfectly balanced tone while giving a slight boost on highmid range. It’s one of the most ideal tonewoods for solid body basses of major bass makers since the 1950’s. The spalted maple(veneer) adds a unique visual appeal to the instrument with its natural patterns.

GB-Fusion is enhanced with a 9-volt battery powered active preamp system that enables bassists to explore a wider range of tones with its Blend and 3-Band EQ controls, and can be either engaged or disengaged with a push/pull volume knob.

Voiced Tone VTB-ST Pickups
The new Voiced Tone J-style single-coil pickups perfectly complement the big robust acoustic sound of the bass with modern clarity, transparency and vintage warmth. Painstakingly developed by Cort’s engineers by drawing on decades of pickup winding experience, the Voiced Tone pickups feature the highest-grade components and winding techniques to allow the natural character of the guitar to be faithfully delivered to the amp.

The GB-Fusion 5 boasts a visually stunning hand selected birds-eye maple fretboard that delivers powerful midrange and high-end clarity.

Ergonomic Neck Joint
Designed and implemented to facilitate easy access to the upper register of the fingerboard, the new Ergonomic Neck Joint increases playing comfort while reducing tendon stress and awkward wrist and finger positions. Now you can solo away and reach the highest notes with confidence as well as greatly improved playability.

MetalCraft M Bridge
The solid, high-mass MetalCraft M bridge was developed with more focus on ease-of-use and greater tone transfer. Depending on the thickness of the strings, the dual string loading system allows the strings to be loaded either through the body or from the top to find the best optimal string tension, resulting in enhanced sustain, greater playability and focused sound. MetalCraft M has a string spacing
of 19mm (0.748”) for the 4-string M4, and 18mm (0.708”) for the 5-string M5.

Luminlay Side Dots
The luminlay side dot position markers make it easy for players to see the fretboard position when performing on dark stages.

Hipshot® Ultralite Tuners
Hipshot® Ultralite tuners (classic 20:1 tuning ratio) are made of cast zinc with aluminium strings posts and mounting nuts, resulting in 30% weight reduction over other regular tuners and results in improved balance and tuning accuracy.
