EVEN CENTRED SPACING - EXCLUSIVE TO GUITAR BROTHERS 

This Xotic XSC-2 features Even Centred String Spacing, Meaning the space between the center of each string is equidistant. This specification is exclusive to Guitar Brothers and the best way to appreciate this is to pick the guitar up and play it.

The Xotic XSC guitars are hand built in the USA and feature nitrocellulose finish, AAAA flame roasted maple neck and Raw Vintage hand wound pickups based on Xotic's own proprietary design. Body and guitar necks are premium grade tone woods for full lush lows and shimmering highs resulting organic, woody tones that works well with all styles of music.

The Neck - Roasted Flame Maple - 12"  Vintage Modern Radius - Rosewood Fingerboard - Jescar 57110 Jumbo Frets

Roasted Flame maple provides enhanced stability which means only a minimum amount of finish is required. This gives the neck the smooth feel of natural wood and a multi-dimensional sound that is more reflective of the player's nuances. This guitar features a custom neck shape profile is known as SRV/Asymmetric. It's slightly thicker on the bass side than the treble side.

The Pickups - HSS RV-60 & RV-PAF Classic 

The Xotic California Classic® is equipped with our proprietary Raw Vintage pickups which contribute to a full "open" sound and tightness with a sweet spanky high end, firm lows, and mids with a great complexity and a punchy attack. The RV-60 & PAF Classic pickups are carefully hand wound at Xotic's Los Angeles facility.

Raw Vintage PAF Humbuckers include period correct plain enamel copper wire and custom Alnico magnets enclosed in a nickel casing. All pickups are hand wound to deliver a super wide tonal range with pristine highs, punchy bottom end and incredibly distinct clarity with every note.


Body- Alder
Xotic guitar bodies are made from high grade tonewood which has been properly seasoned. Xotic added neck joint stability with very tight tolerances for stable tuning. Xotic went to great lengths to research the most appealing body shape with period specific contours for a great classic looks and comfortable feel.

Nitrocellulose Lacquer Body, Oil finish neck
Our finishes are significantly thinner and lighter in weight than conventional guitar finishes. Nitrocellulose Lacquer is known to have excellent aging characteristics for musical instruments. When the guitar ages properly it promotes a lower damping coefficient meaning greater warmth, longer sustain and louder volume.

Setups
Finally, Xotic believe the guitar should play very easily without fatigue. Thus, it is essential to have a proper setup: adjusting the nut, the amount of bow in the neck, level of the frets and heights of strings for incredibly comfortable playability. Xotic's highly trained luthiers carefully inspect each instrument and perform a highly detailed setup that brings out the full potential of the instrument insuring each guitar plays it's very best.
