This was the most expensive Yamaha classical guitar in Australia in the early '70s early ’80s until Yamaha introduced the G-255. This was just below the luthier-made Grand Concert Series.
Like other manufacturers in the 60s-70s, Yamaha often used cedar and spruce interchangeably. This guitar has a high-grade cedar top.
The headstock also features the double line ornament, typically found on the Grand Concert series.
Plays beautifully, sounds gorgeous.
